Especially interested in: I usually write stories that more or less fit around canon, but I'm up for writing canon divergent AU. I'm stronger on worldbuilding and adventure than romance, though romance is fun when there's worldbuilding and stuff happening too. I am a longterm, deep lore Tolkien fan, and I'm offering all available Tolkien canons from HoME to Leaf By Niggle to the Hobbit Movies or Finrod Zong.

I love in-world histories! Perhaps Bilbo's version of a story from the Silmarillion? Or a story of Dwarves, and their undocumented histories from the First Age on down: perhaps the Tragedy of the Fall of Moria? Or the Day the Dragon Came, as recounted by Gimli and Legolas? The Darkening of Mirkwood? Or Maglor and Maedhros through various eyes?
Maybe even Elrond's own account of the Second Age?

I like almost all of Tolkien's characters, including those I haven't written before, so if you have a specific character, scenario or pairing in mind, I'm fairly sure I want to write them.

Unwilling to address: Will not write: Morgoth/Sauron, Bilbo/Thorin, anything with Aragorn or Eol (for very different reasons), a story in which Amrod or Amras die at Losgar (except as in-world dark legend), movie RPF, readerfic, second person point of view.

Notes: I haven't read Sansûkh, so can't fit my story into the worldbuilding for that famous epic, sorry. Anything I write is likely to feel somewhat bookish, even if writing for a movie-only characters such as Tauriel, or a movie-inspired pairing, such as Bard/Thranduil (I have written them before and am happy to again!). I'm told I write good Hobbit voices. I don't usually try to match the 'voice' of the Silmarillion too closely though: my style is usually slightly lighter and more modern.

I've offered to write up to 5000 words, but would be prepared to write more if the bid was a generous one and the story idea interests me.
