Notes about labor offered: I specialize in exuberant cheering paired with considerate and thoughtful spelling and grammar betaing, or concentrated feedback on specific areas of concern. I stand firmly in the camp of recognizing that grammar rules are often outdated, culturally insensitive, and that no one knows what you want to say better than you -- but I'm here to make sure you feel as confident with your words as possible! If you'd like, I'd also love to offer you a digital banner that fits the mood, tone, and style of your fic. Notes: I work best in Google Docs and will do all I can to recognize all of the effort you put into your work -- think your favorite line by line ao3 comments, but on steroids. Typically I'll do multiple read throughs. The first is to allow myself to sink into your story and geek out in the comments, then the rest are to give you the feedback you want. Whenever I beta for someone new, I ask first what they'd like from me, because the last thing I want to do is overstep-- I'm here for you and what you want, not to put my own voice into your fic. Regarding the banner: I'm not an artist, so all the work I do is with digital graphics sourced online, using graphic design software. You and I can talk about what you envision, what you'd like to be conveyed, what kind of "vibe" you want to represent your fic online, and we'll work together to find what feels right. This is just a little extra bonus!
